AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE SAFETY SERVICE DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT ESTABLISHING FIRE PROTECTION AND RESCUE SERVICES TO WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, VAN WERT COUNTY, STATE OF OHIO AND DECLARING IT AN EMERGENCY          

             BE IT ORDAINED by the Council for the City of Delphos, Allen and Van Wert Counties, State of Ohio.

 SECTION ONE:  That the Mayor and the Safety Service Director be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to enter into a contract providing fire protection and rescue service to Washington Township, Van Wert County, State of Ohio for 2011.  A copy of which is attached.

             SECTION TWO:  The revenue from this contract shall be appropriated to the Fire/Rescue Equipment Fund. 

            SECTION THREE:  This ordinance shall be declared an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of public peace and welfare and the contract expired 12-31-10.
