The Police Department is quite unique in that the City of Delphos is divided into two counties which forces officers to become adept with two Juvenile Courts, two Municipal Courts and two Common Pleas Courts, not to mention a local Mayor’s Court. Even booking procedures into the two different county jails is totally different. Keeping up with the State and Federal Mandates and the ever-changing aspects of modern law enforcement the Police Department has sought out all avenues of education itself. Through continuous education, job performance has improved and we have created an additional deterrent against city liability.

The Delphos Police Department is an active member of the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force. With joint cooperation this Unit enthusiastically curbs the influx of drug traffic in and about the City of Delphos. By our active participation, manpower and equipment is freely furnished the Delphos Police Department at anytime in the investigation of any serious criminal activity and crimes.
