Gregory C. Berquist started with the City of Delphos in 2003. The Safety Services Director is the chief executive officer of the city, responsible for managing resources of the city and the seven city departments. The Safety Services Director responsibilities include being the project manager and city engineer for all major construction projects, a member of the Planning Commission, the zoning and building inspector.

Gregory Berquist graduated high school in Pennsylvania and entered the United State Army. Upon being discharged from the army Greg Berquist began a career in criminal justice system that lasted 27 years holding senior level positions which included serving as a major with one of Ohio Sheriff Office and being the Deputy Director of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal investigation and the Ohio Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Mr. Berquist holds an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences in Criminal Justice, a Bachelors of Science degree in Social Sciences, a Master of Arts degree in Management, and Master of Science degree (candidate) in Criminal Justice Administration.
